Co worker burned a cd for me but I can only play the disc on computers. Can't play the disc in any other device. The disc is Fujifilm CD-R, 700/80. Burned from Frostwire.com

Did you make sure that your disc is finalized? Look on the blue side of the disc. Is it full, or just a little band of information down by where the hole is?Check to see if the device you are using is compatible with CD-R discs. Sometimes the drive will write faster than the disc is rated for, and that'll mess with how it works in a player. My suggestion is to try burning it again, with a decent program at a slower speed or a different brand of disc.

Good luck!!

True nothing unusual with this. Specially if the other devices are older and cannot read CDR disks - some devices can't do this. It also depends on the recording format they have used. If they have copied a standard CD format then it may work if they are laying down MP3 and the like then again the devices may not have the code to read these. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Two things come to mind. 1 - how were the files burned? Data format? If so, then only computers or devices made to read data format will work with this disk.
2 - was the disk finalized or closed after it was burnt? If the disk is not finalized or closed it will not work in most devices.
