Your wife is an awesome person! I, too, am obsessed with caring for animals. I currently have 15 pets! Some of my pets I've had for over 7 years. I love rescuing animals and giving them a better life. Tell your wife to get online and check out local animal shelters or humane societies...those places are always needing volunteers. Also, some vets take volunteers as well as the zoo. If she can't find any work there, then she could resort in rescuing stray animals off the street and helping them find good homes or she could read the newspaper-the newspaper usually have adds for free animals that are needing a good home. Thanks for being a supportive husband for your wife.

If your wife has a passion for rescued/shelter animals, I would suggest that she try to volunteer or acquire a paid position at your local Humane Society or at another shelter. However, jobs at shelters can be VERY emotionally straining, as many dogs are sick and injured upon arrival, and many are put to sleep, so if she doesn't have the stomach for it, she shouldn't work there. There is another thing you can do with rescue organizations, and that is fostering. You can foster anything from dogs and cats to exotic animals, depending on what the organizations allow. Fostering means that you will give the animal a home and take care of it until the organization finds it a home. You could also look for local boarding kennels for possible open positions. Or, she could find a Veterinary Clinic who is hiring, and try to get a job there. There are a multitude of different opportunities for animal-lovers out there.

Well why don't you ring your local zoo if you have one as near me we don't, ring local vets animal shelters etc any thing that's cares for animals in your area and if there is a voluntary position or even paid work sup rise your wife with it, it will make her smile for the rest of the day and shows that you support her in her interests if she's anything like me with animals then i know she'd love that.

Alot of places like animal shelters and vet offices that house animals for adoption are always looking for volunteers. She should just pick up the phone call them and ask them if they are in need of volunteers to help care for the animals

My husband and that i've got a similiar conflict, in spite of if I purely have 2 cats, no canines. firstly, you knew she grew to become right into a puppy lover once you met her, precise? Why no longer attempt and compromise? Ask if the cats can sleep someplace else for starters. Our cats many times do no longer sleep with us, relatively our male cat. He is going exterior so he brings in pollen, etc. I even have hypersensitive reactions, so this is not in my applicable interest to have them sleep with us. communicate on your spouse and clarify the type you sense, in case you haven't any longer already. we don't have a canines, yet stroll canines as a factor-time business enterprise, so as this is how i'm getting my "canines fix." Sorry, i could no longer be of any further help. Like I stated, we are have an analogous conflict. solid success :)

Contact the SPCA or the local vet.
They always are training and needing help at events and at the actual kennels.

Good call on your part. Just set boundries, or you will end up with two dozen new pets. I'm totally serious!!!!!

Go talk to one of the volunteer agencies in your area. They'd love to have some help. What a great way to spend your extra time.
