It sounds like something bit you in the eye. That happened to me once my eye started to hurt and the next day when I woke up it was swollen. I went to the doctor and he said that it was a bug bite on my eye lid. Put some ice on it and the swelling will go down.

You need to find out if it is pink eye before you go to your friend's house; they will NOT be happy if you have it and give it to their family. It is highly contagious, but can be treated with antibiotics. I'd postpone the visit until you know, as a courtesy to your friend's family.

well best bet is to talk to your mom about it, but if it is an allergy, benadryl works wonders and if it is pink eye, it isn't always icky looking sometimes it is just swollen and maybe a bit red..you may want to take a trip to the doctors.

Run a wash cloth under cold water and place it over your eye
