CM Punk is probably the guy who is gonna save the WWE. He is a great wrestler, he is really straight-edge it's not just a gimmick, he has great mic skills and could cut an awesome promo. But the WWE holds him back in all of this. The only reason people call him overrated or say he does not have any mic skills is because they have never seen any of his ROH work. Joe vs. Punk II was a 5-star match. His promos are like Raven status, which means they are really good and entertaining. All that WWE needs to do is let him wrestle his own style, give him more mic time and let him turn heel. "Im CM Punk, Im straight-edge that makes me better than you!" he has personality too.

First of all to answer the question "ECW's CM Punk" sucks. He is nothing more than watered down, held back, version of the great indie star that WWE signed 2-3 years ago. If he were allowed to be the wrestler that he was on the indie circuit then people would see why he is the most over star in the business. If Vince was the smart businessman he claimed to be, he'd put either the World title or the ECW title on Punk, instead of trying to force feed Ultimate Warrior and Goldberg clones Lashley and Batista down fans throats. For cryin outloud at Survivor Series Punk got a louder and bigger pop than McMahon's Precious DX. If Triple fake and H B Gay would stop being such marks for themselves and allow new talent to shine the WWE, guys like CM Punk, RVD, Jamie Noble, and others wouldn't seem so out of place when they do finally get some well earned tv time.

Well i personally don't like much of ECW's wrestlers except Bobby Lashley! But i think if he continue to do well in the ring he will go far in the industry!

Punk is the future of wrestling. It's too bad he's being held back and losing to guys like Matt Striker. And for those of you who think he has no mike skills, go watch any of his promos from his Ring of Honor days and then say that.

He rocks but so does Sabu .. he is in most of the ECW OMG moments and RVD also rocks

he's like an out of shape version of RVD, he does a lot of the same moves as him but he really has little appeal to me. I mean what's his gimmick? a competitor? wow...thats pretty much everyone's gimmick...not impressive and he's getting over pushed if you ask me

Overrated. No that impressive. I'm glad Vince slowed down his push because I wasn't seeing what was so impressive about him that earned him a push anyway. He's just another wrestler, nothing special.

Personally, I don't know what the big fuss is. He is not all that great to me. He just came in and blew up. For what. He's not even that great of a fighter.

Eh ... he's okay, but he'll always be held back in WWE, they're keeping his moves in check, he's a pretty stiff guys and unless your related to McMahon, you cant do that. I'd rather check out his ROH/FIP stuff with Samoa Joe and everyone else.
