I am studying German on my own, through audio tapes and discs. I would like to find short stories, etc, for very early readers (children!)

those are all novels which have stayed with me finally. some only because they were attractive, some because they were negative. there is insanity and attractiveness and some magical realism alongside with somewhat philosophy and some darkish factors. a number of them only made me look on the international a unique way. Thy both www.lernu.net and http://lingvo.info/?lingvo=en and their links. Lernu leans toward Esperanto, but includes many levels of many languages, including German. Lingoprismo is multi language. Both have many interesting links. Also, I have found some good, very inexpensive language learning materials for myself and my children from www.EdwardRHamilton.com. Also, you might try Audio Forum
