Microsoft do charge for the use of their MSN service but not for their Hotmail and Messenger Live this is at the moment free,,
I hope they don't for that will mean thousands of people will not be able to stay in contact with each other and no one will be able to see if their friends are on line or not, but then who knows what Microsoft will do next, for we live in a greedy world where Microsoft have a captive audience and to loose the use of Messenger Live and Hotmail would be a great blow to them,,,,

If Microsoft really do this, it's kinda suicide. Who's going to visit & use MSN, if they charge for MSN & Hotmail? The success of an online services are, usually, based on a number of traffic visiting those services. A company's stock price can increase if the traffic to their services also increases, and vice versa.

These kind of email has been in circulated for years, but none of them are true. Past examples: ICQ, Yahoo!Mail, Friendster, Lycos Mail, etc.

SO, don't worry about this thing.
