An annulment supposedly looks on paper like the marriage never happened and as I understand it; mostly used by Catholics in the old days because a divorce meant instant excommunication. They are way more difficult to get, too.

An annulment is more often than not a religious disillisionment of a marriage, you can not remarry if you have only had a religious disillisionment, as it is not considered a legal divorce, but more often than not an annulment of this type happens AFTER a legal divorce, when one of the parties wants to remarry in the church, (catholic) they have to have their first marriage annuled. A "civil" annulment happens when a case of fraud has been proven or the marriage was never consumated (no sex). A Divorce is a legal disillisionment of marriage there are no religious contraints to it. As to how a man looks...if she's had only a religious annulment and nothing legal ending her first marriage he would run in the opposite direction.

Annulment is when the marriage lasted less than a year. And it has nothing to do if you had sex or not. In order to get an annullment, you have to prove there was fruad involved. If you had known some information prior to the marriage would you have still married him or her. In my case, dated my ex for 3 years, married 6 months, then I found out he was definatley not the person I thought he was. It is very very hard to prove. When you get an annullment, it was like it never existed. I can legally say I was never married.
I chose getting an annullment so his debt and legal problems could not come after me. And the fact that I would rather not think I was married to someone who could be one way and then have a totally different life that I wasn't aware of.
Again, it has nothing to do with if you had sex with your spouse during the short time of marriage...nothing what so ever......

I have no idea, but i know that annulling a marriage is when it haven consume (meaning NO SEX at all) not even once and it will happend in less than a year ... and divorce is when the marriage have being consume but the divorce is for other reasons ... It shouldn't matter if you get divorce or you annull your marriage if you find in someone else the happiness it shouldn't matter how he look at her as long as there is love anything else shouldn't be important..

Annullment, traditionally could only happen if there had been no intercourse. Annullment usually is possible very shortly after the marriage ceremony, though as mentioned, Catholics often use that as a way to circumvent ex-communication because of divorce. Annullment means the marriage never really existed.
Divorce can occur at anytime after the ceremony. A divorce means the dissolution of a marriage.

Annulement happens quickly...and they usually look at if you slept with the person after the marriage. This can take place in the first year of marriage. There are actually differnt types of annulments. It also makes it so that it looks like you were never married before striking it off all records. Divorce is always around...it takes place anytime after marriage..mostly divorce happens in conflict of intrest that are unable to be resolved by both marriage parties. Divorce shows on all records.

both decision is about an same and fee an same and legal professionals prices are an same. Annulling a wedding ceremony is like taking back time to in the previous you've been married... in words of credit a wedding ceremony annulled will teach as no pastime in the course of the time you've been married. In a divorce you may opt for to apply your married call or go back on your maiden call... in a annulment you go back on your maiden call. once the papers were signed by technique of both events many times it takes lower than a month.
