Unless you have an iPod, you cannot. You need an ipod.
iTunes sells M4p files, which are protected AAC files. They require a signature license to play. iPods synchronise with iTunes to allow these files to be played on your ipod. Other players do not support this.
eMusic.com sells unprotected MP3 files which are not restricted to any sort of player.

If the brand of MP3 player you bought is iPod, then yes, all media purchased from the iTunes Store will be compatible with it. However, if your MP3 player is of any other brand, it will not work by normal means.

is it an iPod ?? or simple mp3 player(i take it as this)??
why do you want to download from iTunes - you pay massive prices!!!
3rdly you can export itunes library or simply drag an album or a song on to your desktop or and folder from iTunes and there you go - simple mp3 song! and then you can put it onto your mp3 player.
wouldn't recommend the purchasing from iTunes
