WHew,,,this is tough one....

I wont say it is born in,,,,
I have seen little girls and boys play with baby dolls and barbies,,,,
I have seen little girls play cars with little boys, and make the little truck sound and all.
Once boys reach a certain age, I know fathers that would have a hissy fit if they saw their boy playing with barbie dolls,,,
and mothers who have fit if their daughter is out playing in a mud puddle!
What does that say for transgender though?
They were raised a boy but always wanted to be a girl, or vice versa,,,
I am not sure if it is genetics, surroundings, or just individual will that makes us act like we do.
I am a woman, I cry like one, care like a mother should, but I am not a priss, I love getting dirty, and I love hangin with the guys. My parents never pushed me in either direction.
I am just the way I am, because I chose to be.

What do you think?

no because i think qualities are defined by your emotions which are not different.
you are wrong, they are only born as either male or female, it's there brought up that defines their masculanity and femininity. gender roles are what they are expected to perform while living in a society- part of these roles are based on one's own perception of self and the rest is defined by the society.
thirdly and perhaps most importantly, both men and women have traits of the other gender. femininity in men is refered to as anima and masculanity in women is refered to as animus.

so they are not completely different.

I think it's a toss up. I think part of it is in-born and part is learned. I know I was pretty girly as a kid, but now am very laid back and more toward the tomboy side. (I blame my brothers) :)

yes. females are more intutive and perceptive. we read body language better, our reading comprehension is superior, we are more direct, but also more compassionate than males.
