Most people belive that it is because of the polution and enviorment. I have heard that Kentucky has more people getting cancer than anyonther place in the US. I don't feel that it is right, good people should not have to go through with having cancer. It puts so much strain on the families and it just does not seem fair to me. But I guess life really isnt fair is it.

Not everyone gets cancer. We've also got diabetes and heart disease. But, statistically speaking, our population is very high, leading to higher amounts of all diseases. And since cancer can be a genetic predisposition, we're reproducing the cancer gene. Also, historically, cancer was not diagnosed, so our advanced medicine makes the diagnosis of cancer greater. Our cancer rate might be higher, but so is our survival rate and life expectancy.
