New York Yankees. Great lineup from 1-9.

I think you gotta go with the Red Sox on paper. Their lineup improved in the offseason, and they have two of the top five hitters in the AL, if not MLB. They have a potentially dominant rotation, with Schilling, Beckett, and Matsuzaka. And now that Papelbon has returned to his closer's spot (where his ERA last year was under 1.00, I might add), the bullpen looks strong too. They really don't seem to have any weaknesses on paper, whereas the Yankees certainly have problems with their rotation.

Hard to say right now, I am a Twins fan, but our starters scare me after Santana.
I hate to say it, but top to bottom of the lineup and all throughout the starters and bullpen, the Tigers look REALLY though this year! I hope my Twinks beat them out, but, as a baseball fan, I'd have to say they have a very nice looking team!

The 1989 Cleveland Indians. I know they did not get to the Series, but this team was loaded! Willie Mays Hayes, Pedro Cerrano, veterans Jake Taylor behind the plate and Roger Dorn at third. Then when it was time to slam the door - Wild Thing Ricky Vaughn - lights out!

Cardianls don't have it this year. I would have to say the Boston Red Sox, Angels, or Dodgers. An NL team will take the WS again this year.

The Detroit Tigers. Supreme pitching, improved batting, exceptionally well managed... Most importantly, properly motivated to go all the way.
