Either sleep earlier the day before (calculate it so you get 8 hours of sleep) and put the alarm clock away from the bed.

UMMM, first I think that you put this question in the wrong area, second if you are having problems hearing you need to either put it up really loud, or find the most annoying, like nails on a chalk board noise. Test this on a weekend and see if it wakes you up. Or just set a bunch of alarms around your house so you have to get up and walk around. Good Luck!

At the moment you slap the alarm clock's snooze button, just remember that this is one less time you'll have to get up before you're permanently "in bed" in your grave.

I have the same problem so I sit my alarm outside the door. It forces you to get up and find it. Then I stand there for about 3 mins so my body will awaken. I blast the tv or ipod and get to moving.
