When asked to reveal her plan for a national healthcare plan, a couple of days ago, Hillary said that she wanted to hear ideas from people before she settled on a plan. Since she had a plan, 12 or 13 years ago, why doesn't she have one now? And if she really does want to hear peoples opinions, she is currently a Senator, so why doesn't she try to have hearings held on the subject now? Why wait another 20 months
until she's in the White House to even start getting opinions from people?

Hey donnie, I voted for Bill Clinton twice you dipstick. Poor baby can't keep his foot out of his mouth. Maybe you want to continue down this BS trail to national healthcare, but I've heard way to much talk and I want to see some action. Now go suck your toes.

OOOOOOh answerman, wrong answer my friend. You sound too much like a bushbot to me pal. When asking a question is "bashing" there is no way to join in the discussion. NO, NO, NO I've seen that movie before. And it wasn't worth a second viewing.

goldenrae9, Ok I understand that, but again, why doesn't she try to hold hearings now? I happen to believe in open government and I'm tired of waiting for a Universal Healthcare plan.
I'll probably be dead before I see one.

Hillary doesn't have a plan, she has an issue.
I am just waiting for someone at a town meeting to really REALLY press her on this issue, and for her to have a complete meltdown.
You KNOW she is ready to explode whenever someone questions her. All it will take is someone who is persistent and who won't be swept aside.

The world has changed in the last 12 years. Even in terms of politics we were dealing with a post-cold war agenda and now are dealing with Terrorism and Homeland Security. As a politican you are also a representative of the public. There are a number of new voters (my first election was 2000) and we have lost a number as well. The internet has changed the way people gather and understand information and even news is more scandal based and less objective. Its a different world and so our healthcare system needs to reflect it. Also there are more and more middle class these days without health insurance so these numbers might help to change it.

She has a plan. Take money from hard working Americans with decent health care, and prop up a dying medicare system to the point that it is bloated with bureaucracy much like every other government entity. Then when the system brakes down to the point that you need to make an appointment a month in advance or wait in a waiting room for 6-8 hours... but EVERYONE is covered by the same sub standard care, call it a success.

because she spews it just like every other campaign lie that every politician gives. she has no idea how to do it, but she knows that it is going to be a lightning rod topic in the elections. Once she gets elected *shudder* she will commission a "universal healthcare" team that will never come up with anything. That way when she goes for re-election *double shudder* she can say, "I tried but those darn republicans stopped us" and then she can use that leverage.
Just look to the Walter Reed scandal and think, I want ALL hospitals to be like that? I think not.

In my opinion, her plan was never viable in the first place, which is why it was never inacted when her husband was President.
Also, she is so defined by public opinion, and so afraid to say anything that may not play well in the polls, she is unable to come up with a plan herself. And she will wait because she really does not want to hear opinions of others - if they would come up with anything good, she would then have to explain why nothing got done anyway.
Just my opinion.

Maybe she is going to run the Kerry plan. "I have a plan, but I am not going to tell you my plan, but I have a plan." It worked so well for him, maybe she thinks it will work for her. Oh wait, he didn't win. Hmm, she might want to rethink her plan.
