They are looking for attention. Nurturing the ego. Problem is, in doing it, it is a protest against this country. There are still I think more people for the country than against. So whatever their protesting usually gets looked at with a blind eye. They have the right to do it, however, I have the right not to forgive or listen to them.

I imagine that the 1 or 2 people per year who burn a flag in protest each have their own reasons.
It is probably to piss off people and get attention for their cause. And the people who freak out at it are giving them exactly what they want.

I think they belive they are dealing a blow to the way of life in the US. They just look like lazy asses taking the easy way to prove a point instead of trying to make themselves heard in a more civilized manor. Burning the flag is their right if they want to do it.
While flag burning doesn't sit well with me, I have seen the hilarious pictures of people setting themselves on fire as well.

They are exercising their right to free speech. Usually when they burn flags they are disagreeing with the government in charge at the time.

If it was made by a flag company, then they accomplished giving that company some money. If they made it themselves, they didn't really accomplish anything other than burning a work of art.

It seems to me that these people are just looking for attention. They know that by burning our Flag, they will draw notice to themselves very quickly.
In my opinion, anyone that would burn our Flag here in our own country, should get the hell out!

When people burn the American Flag, they're trying to show their rebelious side. Did you know that burning the American Flag in America is illegal? They're trying to show that they don't care about America, its laws or its customs.
