No, your geforce is replacing the onboard display. It should automatically disable it when you plug it into the AGP or PCI-E slot (whichever it is).

Plug your monitor into the new card otherwise you are wasting your time upgrading the vid card.

Some video card have a cable for the CD player and will also handle audio. You need to look ate the manual carefully and understand the card you have. The video card installation will most likely override the onboard video for you - if not there will be an option in the BIOS. Hope this helps, good luck.

No. It'll override the on-board. You MAY need to go into the bios and disable the on-board video (there may be an "automatic" setting where a plug-in will go first, but if it breaks it'll revert to on-board. That's best).
