Why are radio dj's broadcasts typically only 4 hours long?

people tend to get tired of listening to the same person drone on and on so 4 hours is about right. You can listen to one DJ on the way to work and then hear another one after work. It keeps the radio station 'fresh'

Well they have to give someone else a chance for exposure.
