For me it's not even debateable.Goodfellas.But I know people who think the other 2 are better.

Brett u are ma man, I think that Good fellas definitly rocked. This is where films like the departed are based now how can you even campare the master with the student.

I think all these three movies are great...it's just that I found The Departed to have a bit more substance than the other two. Like, it doesn't drag on for ever and ever. If I had to chose between the three, Casino would finish last because it was just too long! But it would be much harder to chose between the Goodfellas and Departed...I mean The Departed just has the best cast I've ever seen in a movie, but aside from that it does not focus as much on the mob life as the Goodfellas does. The Departed is more about the corrupt cops than it is about anything else and I like that better. I'm not interested in the mob scene as much. So I would probably have to choose The Departed over the Goodfellas although both are great movies and it is a hard decision.

This is one of the toughest questions I too have been facing lately. Obviously Scorcesi is a down right genious which is needless to say. But, I would have to go with Casino. Reason being that I feel it has the best charecter development (all charectors) not to mention the soundtrack to that film is by far better that Goodfella's and definately better than The Departed (other than the Flogging Molly song throughout the entire film). Robert Denero, Joe Pescie, Sharon Stone, and countless others, makes this ONE of the best mob flicks of all time

Martin Scorsese is amazing! I love all three of these movies, but Goodfellas has to be the best of the three. Ray Liotta was perfectly cast and Deniro and Pesci are in thier element.
Casino proved that Sharon Stone could act. The Departed was the movie that changed my mind about DiCaprio, I was not a huge fan of his, now I respect him as an actor.
But Goodfellas is timeless. I can still hear "Layla" playing in my head as the camera pans across that Cadillac.

Goodfellas is classic. Casino is Sharon Stone acting well. and The Departed is a new classic. I love them all.

I like all three, but Goodfellas is the best hands-down. It's a classic, and I don't think the other two really are.
