Everyone is different. Me and my husband weren't really "trying" the first time when i came off the pill. We did want kids but we figured we would let nature take its course, and belive it or not I got pregnant the first month!! I think that is the key to having kids stop "trying" just relax and have fun!!

You CAN become pregnant immediately. But my doctor suggested that I be off the pill for 2 months to balance out my hormone levels. I waited the 2 months and the first time I tried to conceive I did - and now I'm 5 weeks pregnant! So everyone is different.. good luck!

I was on the pill for 4 years, before we decided to have a family, I stopped taking pill on 24 december, and was pregnant by 6 February! It happens different for everyone though! Good Luck!

2.5 months, and I wasn't trying for the first 2 months!

So you know - 80% of women who come off the pill ovulate again within 3 months, and 95% within 6 months. This is why it takes a while for some people.
If you are having periods, that's a good sign you are ovulating. It's fairly common for periods to take a while to return.
It's best to let your body have a normal period for this reason otherwise you won't know whether it's pregnancy or the pill causing the lack of periods and you'll drive yourself mad taking loads of tests!
Good luck.

with my first daughter it took four years, this time i came off the pill early expecting to fall pregnant in a minimum of two years and would you believe it 5weeks later i was holding a posotive pregnancy test in my hand.
I came off it early so that when i was ready it wouldnt take so long i deffo wasnt ready to get pregnant so soon so it was a surprise and now i am 16weeks along.......
You could get pregnant immediately like i did or it could take time, but dont come off it anytime before you are ready to start trying like i did lol

It took 7 months. After 6 months I was getting inpatient so I got an ovulation kit and fell first use. I would highly recommend getting a kit if you are impatient like I was. Mine came off E-bay and was really cheap and came with two pregnancy tests!
Good luck, and most importantly enjoy trying!!!!

It was 4 months for me. But I had been on the pill for 7 years. They say the longer you are on the pill the longer it should take.
