look, it probably was an honest mistake. but, the thing is... it's still illegal. and we don't know FOR SURE that it was an oversight. for all we know, the guy was about to go postal. so, you just can't slap him on the wrist and say it's ok. i'm tired of this crap. we are a nation of laws. when you break a law, you get punished. that's what keeps us in check. this is scarily familiar to illegal immigrants. people say, "oh, they're just trying to make a better life for themselves." so what. there's still laws in place. just like this, people say, "oh, he forgot it was in there", or "so, he needs to protect himself"... you break the law, there are consequences.. you let crap like this slide, it sets a prescedent. like i said, i'm sure it was honest, and i don't think he should be hanged, but, a law was broken.. you think if you walked in to your local courthouse with a loaded gun in a state that doesn't allow it, that they'll just pat you on your head and let you go??? get real.

Oops! It was an honest mistake but should not have happened anyway. Maybe that is what happens when one state allows people to be like cowboys of the old West and tote handguns. It shows that the Capitol security works.
It appears what happened is that Webb knew the gun was not allowed in the Capitol and gave it to an aid for safe keeping. The aid, who is not used to carrying a gun forgot he had it and went to the Capitol on a routine matter. Oops! Caught ya.
Of course you cite Faux news as your source so it is probably "fair and balanced if right wing". How many law breaking aids caught in the act of doing something illegal have been serving Republicans and how many Democrats? It would be interesting to know. I think the Republicans would have an edge on the wrong doing but the Democrats would not be totally free either.

No time soon. Have you noticed how Democratic Congressman William Jefferson is still not being prosecuted for his crimes? Any rude pornographer like Jim Webb should go armed at all times like Al Goldstein. They are two peas in the same pod.

Coming from a party that believes in the right to carry guns, your outrage is simply outrageous.

the only time a democrat sees anything as against the law is if that law happens to be broken by a republican.

Even Brittany Spear's guards carry guns, why wouldn't a political leader need protection as well. How suprising that Fox carried the story...maybe trying to distract from all the graft and corruption at their boy's white house. Please, aren't you conservative's all "gun rights" happy anyways. Minor crime compared to what your people are doing.
