Absolutely not! Some people who hold degrees are greedy, ego-maniacal, back-stabbing, judgmental, and have holier-than-thou attitudes, not to mention that it is not uncommon for these people to have absolutely NO COMMON SENSE! On the other hand, many down-home-corn-fed-farm-raised-country people (for example) who may have had to miss school to help out on the family farm and therefore, may not have much of a formal education will give you the shirt off their backs if you're in need. These people will help you out regardless of how educated you are. They are generally not quick to judge and can be counted on in times of need (even if they themselves will have to do without if they help you). So, no...higher education may make a person smarter when it comes to book knowledge, but it does not make one person better than another.

I suppose that depends on your definition of better. Some people consider education very important and that if somebody is not educationed (or not educated as well) as somebody else than they aren't as good as them either. Personally I don't believe this, I think asking if somebody is a better person than somebody else is a very complex question and really, I'm not sure it has an answer at all since people judge good and bad in different ways. For example, Robin Hood, stole from the rich to give to the poor. he was only helping those in need BUT he still broke the law and depending on you you asked some might say he was a good person for helping the poor and taking from the greedy rich people but some might believe that breaking the law, no matter what is wrong.

It doesnt make them any better as a person as in the way they treat people etc but if your talking about a person who has no education at all I would think they are not bad people they have just being failed in some way and they should be helped.
But overall yes I do think a person with an education is slightly above a non educated person.

Education is a plus when it comes to opportunities for growth and for employment in today's globalized world..But when u state if a person who has education is better than a person who did get educated...to those that have not the opportunity to opt for higher education...there are limited opportunities for financial growth., but this person CAN grow personally and emotionally...I know ..some idiots ..out there ..who have a degree...who have studied their eyelashes out..but are still hipocrated , bigheaded, vulgar pple.- So although education IS A PART of our development....being better depends...pretty much on your morals..on the growth and environment u were brought up with at home...and with the connection you have with God.-

definitely not, I feel that its completely a personal preference on what that person wants to do with the rest of their life. I mean, I feel a high school degree is important because that's essential for living today, to be able to do simple math and reading quick, but education beyond that doesn't make you better or worse then a person who doesn't have higher education. As long as they are happy, then that's all that matters...:)

No..A lot of times it means nothing if are book smart but in the real life have no way of putting into use since you really don't understand it. Basically common sense is essential in being Educated. More than likely the person without continued education is second natured in common sense.

it depends on what type of education. an education doesnt make or break or person. the reason for an education is to get a job for a career to make money and they doesnt make anyone a better person. anyone can pick up a book and read it to learn things. My college microbiology teacher seemingly has a Ph.D in life but all he has is a masters

No, education doesnt make someone better and it never will. It comes down to the fact that everyone knows something you dont. So in that aspect no one is better then anyone else as far as general knowledge is concerned. However someone may be more book smart over someone else, but then that person usually lacks something else, (usually common sense).

Education doesn't make a person morally or ethically better, but in terms of organizational skills, logic skills, and thinking through problems, the educated person should have more experience using cognitive tools.
