Well the use of explicet drugs, being done by anyone (pregnant or not) is illegal in the United States....so if this were the case, then the woman should be arrested.
As far as drinking and smoking goes, neither is illegal and neither is absolutly "banned" from use during pregnancy...It's strongly recommended that women stay away from both but unfortunately, it's not up to use to make sure that every pregnant person steers clear of cigaretts and alcohol.
And if you're going to use the claim about child abuse or attempted murder....Rough Sex during pregnancy can hurt the baby, should any woman who gets a little frisky in the bedroom be charged with abuse? No. Certain junk foods aren't healthy for the growth of a fetus, should women who consume junk food during pregnancy be arrested? No. The point is, we can't control what people do legally....we can only recommend what they shouldn't do.

This is very difficult question. Because then should people that smoke be arrested because they are killing themselves slowly. I'm a mom, never smoked, drank or do anything to harm my children, I feel is a question of what people are doing, in general, all this things are going on everyday, and there is very little proof, that is happening, can you prosecute someone for using drugs, not selling? Is the same question, for example when a drug addict goes in the ER, for wherever do they get reported because labs show high levels of illegal drugs. I dont know criminal but is WRONG.

That's just silly--I mean I agree women who use drugs and what not while pregnant have issues and maybe that newborn should be taken from them and adopted by a loving home but--they did choose to let the child live I mean they could have gotten and abortion which is legal so, you can't say bad habits are illegal, no matter how horrible they are.

No.
If we arrest them we would have to apply the same rules to everyone that smokes and causes someone else to breathe in second hand smoke.
While I think it is a horrible thing to expose a child to, I think court systems would be bogged down even further with cases like this...
A few years back you could actually sue another person for having an affair with your spouse....alienation of affection...the courts were so bogged down with these types of cases, they had to change the law.
It is unfortunate for the unborn child, but every one has the right to abuse their body and anything that is trapped within it.

I think that anyone who does something wrong should be arrested. I don't think pregnant women who do drugs are trying to kill their unborn child; I just think they have a really nasty habit.

Yes I do think they should be aressted because if they want a good healthy child. And smart one too. They should not (notttt) do those things. Because if they smoke cigarettes. like 4 dollars a pack. With 4 dollars she can buy him/her a toy! If you do drugs. Well once the baby gets born she might get drunk again and maybe kill the baby!!!?
They should be aressted. Think about the things that might hapen.

No, It is her body and she can do as she pleases.
But Do I believe that drinking, use of illegal drugs and smoking should be illegal. Yes I do. Will it ever happen? We don't have enough prisons to put those people into.

If smoking or drinking is legal, and they are of age, then they are completely within their rights to do so. If the laws change, then it would be another story.

I truly understand your feelings. There should be something done to help unborn babies. Sadly the liberals believe it's OK to murder unborn kids because it's inconvenient, so nothing will ever be done.
