Yes you are. I preferred non-metal when I played. When I wore metal, I kept catching a cleat when I slid and almost broke my ankle a few times.

Generally yes...but some associations will put a limit on length of cleats...usually though high school rules are just written so that no one has metal cleats. But yes check with your AD of Coach.

When i was playing in 1990 in Michigan, metal cleats were not allowed. Spikes were considered dangerous and not necessary due to the high quality of non metal cleats made today.

Actually, when I was in high school, we weren't allowed to wear metal cleats in our league. The other league I played in at the same time, we could wear either, so I wore interchangeable cleats.

At our school we're not allowed to use Metal Cleats. it just depends on your school or team.

Go with non-metal, maybe 1/2 inch cleat. You should be ok.
