he is an american writer , he got the pulitzer in that time between 1945 and 1955 , he loved a french writer named semon de bevoir for 15 years just through messages,they never saw eachother except for 2 or 3 years, that woman was a friend of jan paul sarter , i remember some of the name i think the first name is nilson but the last was aljern aljorn i dont know exactly can you help me?

Nelson Algren. He once had an affair with Simone de Beauvoir and she published a book called "A Transatlantic Love Affair: Letters to Nelson Algren," though she had a long standing relationship with Sartre. He won the National Book Prize in 1950 for The Man With the Golden Arm - later a movie - a very good movie with Frank Sinatra. He didnt get a Pulitzer though. Pax - C.
