I know that I am suppose to divide both sides by the exponent which would leave L, how would I divide the exponent by the 67.56?

L = 67.56^(1/.9) = 67.56^1.111111 = 107.8913

67.56 = L^0.9

You actually use a log scale to do your bidding (ln also) In a scientific calculator, that would be log base 10.

log 67.56 = log L^0.9

log 67.56 = 0.9 log L (assume 1)

log 67.56 / 0.9 log = L

And that's it...
