You need to go see the doc to be sure everything is ok. THere is nothing to be embarassed about as this is what your doctor went to school for. He is there to help you no matter what the problem is. Make an appointment and get this checked out. Normally if you don't get your period by age 16 you should see the doc so do it now since you didn't go when you were 16.

You HAVE to go to the doctor.
I doubt that it's anything serious and it might just not be your time to get it yet.
But being 17 and being afraid to go to a doctor is a problem. Dont worry, its not that bad. Ask around and see if any of your friends have a gynocologist they reccomend.
At age 17 you should start seeing one regulary regardless of getting your period or having sex.
Dont be scared or nervous. Its not a great fun experience but you always feel 100% better after you leave. The doctor will be able to help you answer any questions you have.
Good luck!

Yes, there is nothing to be embarassed about and you should visit a doctor soon. You may have some medical problem but they can help you.

Go to the doctor, this is a little unusual. It's okay, really. I've always found that kind of doctor to be kinder and more sensitive than regular doctors.
