Remember each pregnancy is different, one day you could throw up the next your fine and then back to throwing up again. It comes very fast and at anytime of the day (it doesn't matter what you ate or drank anything can set it off) be ready, if you go out, find out where the bathroom is! That is a myth about it being a boy, I threw up for both my pregnancy's (a lot with the first one and a little bit less with the second) and I have two girls, 7 years and 18 months so diffidently a myth. Congratulations by the way!

OK, every pregnancy is different. That you never threw up with your last pregnancy is great, but totally irrelevant to this pregnancy. I threw up so hard with my first that I broke blood vessels in my eyes and throat. I had a boy. With my second I threw up constantly for the first 25 weeks, it was terrible. I had a healthy baby girl. My third I was still throwing up the day I went into labor, another girl. Currently 34 weeks pregnant with the fourth, been pretty sick, still very nauseated. Don't know what we are having this time. Sorry that you are feeling so crummy, and hopefully around 12 weeks it will resolve. That is when the placenta takes over hormone production, and a lot of moms get some relief. Eat small amts frequently, drink lots of fluids, and good luck.

Every pregnancy is different. I've had 6 babies, and ranged from sick for the full 9 months to never sick at all. I've also heard that getting sick a lot means a boy. The reasoning was that different hormones were being introduced to your body. But I haven't found that to be true in my experience. The two I was the sickest with were both girls! In most cases, morning sickness only lasts through the first trimester, so hang in there- it's going to get better. By the way, Congratulations!

First of all.. Congratulations. I am exactly 6 weeks pregnant also and I am throwing up occasionally too. It's perfectly normal, especially in the first trimester. Your body is going through so many changes - hormonal and all. Just because you did not throw up for your first pregnancy doesnt mean you are going to go through the same things. Every pregnancy is different. And yes... it is a myth about it being a boy. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy and everything that goes along with it. By the end of your first trimester you will be feeling alot better. Congratulations again!

It's different for each person and each pregnancy.
I hardly noticed I was pregnant with my first (a boy), I was never sick, didn't have nausea at all, and I didn't even have heartburn all through the pregnancy!
With this one (I'm 35 weeks now, with a girl), I was terribly sick and nauseous for the first 3 months, so bad I couldn't even go to the supermarket coz the smells made me throw up! In the last trimester I have had nausea back, and really bad heartburn.
So yes, it's normal for this pregnancy to be completely different from the last, and NO, if you get sick it doesn't mean the baby will be a boy!! I'm definitely having a girl this time!
Good luck and congrats! :-)

My first pregnancy I got lucky....I had nasea a couple of times. My second pregnancy decided to teach me what morning sickness was all about. From the time I was around 7 weeks pregnant until I was about 20 weeks I threw up everything within 15 minutes of eating and drinking it.
No it is not true that if you get sick alot it is a boy. I have all girls.

Every pregnancy is different. My sister has had 3 girls and she had different things happen each time and all of them are fine.
That's a wives' tale about more nausea with a boy. I have a 2 week old boy and I did have nausea (one of my first symptoms before I even knew I was pregnant) but only threw up a few times...usually when I'd accidentially gag myself, like brushing my teeth or coughing really hard.
Don't worry about it being different. Our bodies change over the years, even if it's not been that long since your first pregnancy, your stomach just might be more sensitive this time.
Good luck!

Every pregnancy is different. Your not going to feel the same through every pregnancy you go through.
I was nausiated and threw up from my first month until my fourth month. Certain smells also got to me. I had a miserable first few months. I lost weight instead of gained the first months of pregnancy.
Nothing is wrong with you. This is completely normal. Also, all them myths about getting sick and the heartbeat arent true. I am having a baby boy. though. Good Luck!! and dont worry!!

Don't worry. Every pregnancy is different. Sometimes you throw up and sometimes you don't. It's perfectly normal. Getting sick or not while pregnant doesn't have anything to do with whether it is a boy or a girl. I had one of each and never threw up with either one. I've known people who were sick a lot and had girls.

Your body is just reacting to all of the hightened levels of hormone's in your system! The tea could just be what you had in your system when you got sick...
I have thrown up steamed broccoli but it was IMMEDIATELY after taking a bite! (I barely made it to the bathroom).... Sometimes, I just get waves of feeling 100% TERRIBLE and other times it is just a queasy feeling....
As for the sickness and having a boy - that is a myth.... I have been told that being sick is a sign of having a GIRL - something to do with the levels of estrogen.... Good luck, and I will hope you have a healthy baby (boy or girl)!
