You don't have to wait. It is a myth that you'll get cramps and drown. Heck, I used to eat while I was in the pool sometimes.
However, if your going to do some serious exercise. Eat light or eat later. Have fun.

The idea that you have to wait after eating before you go into the water has been proven to be false. You can go right back if you wish.

Usually 1/2 an hour to 1 hour is a good amount of time. It allows your belly to digest your food so when you swim, you won't get cramps.

Old wives tale. You don't need to wait. There is NO evidence eating causes cramping.
