Prenatal care is best for you and the baby. Depending on how you were during your pregnancy is how healthy the baby will be. Do you have insurance now? I hope so, because they will probably play catch up with all the things you have missed. Have you looked into Medicaid (state insurance)?

I know it can happen (my cousin was well into her pregnancy before she even knew about it). However, it's REALLY not a good idea. If you are ever pregnant again, figure something out with the insurance. Most insurances these days don't consider pregnancy a pre-existing condition, and I THINK any uninsured pregnant woman under a certain income level qualifies for Medicaid.
There are things that can go wrong with pregnancy whether you go to the doctor or not. If I were you, though, I'd be incredibly thankful that I didn't have gestational diabetes or placenta previa or any other condition that requires close monitoring.
Your baby will probably be just fine. Make sure you don't allow the lack of healthcare to continue (keep regular pediatric appointments), and if you're pregant again, get healthcare early. It gives you and the baby the best chances of being healthy.
Good luck!

A lot of women don't know they are pregnant until they are pretty far a long and don't receive early prenatal care. Most babies are fine. I saw the doctor 3 times before my baby was born and everything was fine. I don't suggest this however. I think it is important to see your doctor and take vitamins. You can address any concerns you have and they check on baby which helps you feel better. Go see your doctor now that you can and stay healthy for your baby!

My best friend didn't have any care and had a healthy baby, but that's not the right thing to do. There are many free and low cost clinics that you can go to. You should have been checking that out months ago. Anyway, good luck with your appointment next week.

Not trying to be harsh but ....you should have thought about that in the beginning. There are many programs and clinics for pregnant moms. Medicaid is one and if that's not for you there are free and income based clinics all over the country.
You can't just not take your child to the doctor after you have it, because you don't have the right insurance, so why would that be an excuse before you deliver?

If you've been taking care of yourself hopefully things will be okay.
Do you have a Health Dept. or a clinic in your town where you pay based on your income ? You should check into that, that way you can receive proper pre-natal care and you will not have to stress about the cost.
Good Luck to you. I hope everything will be okay with the baby.

I waited until 5 months with one of mine because I had to switch doctors and couldn't decide which one to go to! But you really do need to be seen. Isn't there a public health clinic you could have gone to? Don't be afraid, if something were wrong, you would probably know it. I'm glad you have an appointment.

You can get free care at a clinic or through goverment medicaid. People throughout time have delivered healthy babies without standard medical care but you are really putting your child at risk over money (or just pride... walk yourself to a welfare office and get help).
You can call the healthy baby hotline at 1800-986-baby. They can help you get free medical care.

oohhh,,,,,you really want to see a dr asap or , even go to the hospital, most facilities will take you in no questions asked considering your so far along, they will bill you afterwards and can even arrange a payment plan, also if youd like to dispute charges or declare that you are unable to pay due to financial reasons thay may even waive the fees, you can also go to your cities health department and ask for suggestions, health care is poor in this country but you have to find ways to go around it so that your child is born healthy,, please get checked asap ,,prenatal care is important to detect, treat or cure any illness your unborn child may have,,good luck and remember to take your prenatal pills..
