There is a new fax law that is suppose to prevent this. If you search google, you may be able to find companies to pay you money for you "junk faxes" because they are lawyers and will actually try and sue the person who sent unwanted faxes.

Is your fax line the same as your voice line? If so, get a dedicated fax line. Printing out my faxes, I will find 30-40 a month that say no fax detected, meaning from a voice line calling wrong number.

It'll take a little work but at the bottom of the faxes for legal purposes there is supposed to be a number or address to contact to be removed. these are local travel companies or other junk you don't want.
