I am looking for a way to send lots of txt messages to my friends across the ocean cheaply. I need to keep the price below 4 cents per message and something that is free would be even better. My cell provider wants 20 cents per message which is too costly to be practical.
Also, bonus points if the service has an API that I can operate on.

T-Mobile offers T-Mobile Web for $5.99 month. (includes unlimited emails) But you must have a plan first to add this feature.
You could Email overseas with this calling plan, overseas friend signs up for a hotmail email account and send your friend unlimited emails for $5.99 month.......:)
