is it ever okay to email a guy and say that you will no longer be emailing him and if wants to email you he can and if he wants to come and see you he can. but that I would no longer be emailing him until I hear from him? did i do the right thing? He was never been honest about his feelings or what is going on. he is back and forth all time. He says he is now in love with someone but I know for a certainty he is not. especially when he has to read and reread my emails tons of times before he is able to reply. I have a way of knowing how many times my emails get read. so i said enough? did i do the right thing?

do what your gut feels is right for you. Forget about what he's doing. Assume the worst of the person so you won't be disappointed. It all comes down to making a decision and sticking with it. I know its hard since there are feelings involved still, but I think you will feel better once you have taken yourself out of this cycle.

Personally I think you should have just stopped e-mailing him and waited for him to mail you. Saying you'll not mail any more until he mails you implies (from a blokes perspective) that you'll be looking out for an e-mail. If you hadn't e-mailed it would be like you'd given up, and he'd have replied quicker.

How can you tell how many times your e-mails have been read? I didn't know there was a way

Wow, you are seriously obsessed. Look how many questions you asked about this guy! Maybe you need to back off and give him space. I feel so bad for the poor guy. You are psycho!

It's always okay to tell someone that you're done extending yourself on their behalf, that they have to start meeting you halfway or there won't be any communication at all.

Sounds like he's waffling around and making you do all the work. Just let him drop and move on.

You are too obsessed with this issue -- you have posted many, many questions about it. Get away from the computer, get a life, and get some real flesh-and-blood friends.
