I have to disagree. Oral are much better. Sometimes it's easier to speak you answers instead of writing. Yes, writing gives you more time and ablitiy to research but if you know what is being asked you can breeze thru an oral exam in 10 minutes instead of jolting down gallons of caffeine during that all-nighter.

for real working knowledge oral exams are better.
But for people who can only learn written exams are better
