I was insulted by no less that five conservatives when I asked the question,
"Why did the Bush Admin go with "Homeland Security" when it sounds similar to Nazi's Fatherland Security?"

These are some very interesting answers so far, yet I'm still getting insulting answers! It seems that some of wish that those with dissenting voices should be silenced by being thrown in concentration camps. How American.

Answer: Pardon! The conservatives honestly addressed your demeaning comparison...Pointing out the inaccuracies and implied vitriol.
I beg you, please don't feel minimized by their superior intellect and sense of honour, their grasp of history and how it relates to current events.
I am confident that if one committs a few years (in your case many) to proper study and honest reflection, they will abandon such weak and incorrect analogies as you have expressed.

Sorry, I thought that "Homeland Security" was something that was named by the Patriot Act, which is a product of Congress.
Perhaps they insulted you because you blamed the Bush Administration for something Congress did, and seeing that liberals spend about 90% of their time blaming the Bush Administration for things that they didn't do (they spend the other 10% filing for welfare payments) they reacted with a little well-deserved criticism.
What is it with you libs and the Nazis? Every day I see at least 10 posts on here citing something about Nazis. Do you guys pine for the good old National Socialist times when anyone who disagreed with you would be "silenced"? is that why you have such a hard time with any form of dissent or criticism now? You really need to get over yourselves.

First thing first. Have you seen some of the things on this board that your liberal brothers have been posting? Much of it isn't fit for the tabloids, it's utter BS somewhat like this post of yours. Yo post a legit question but then you post a youboob site that only proves nothing. Youboob is a personal site and is no more factual than Al-Jazeera. Cons are as easily persuaded into believing dumb things as liberals are. You must have facts but yet liberals never seem to have any facts (and I'm not saying all liberals but most). Just like this correlation between HLS and that Nazi Fatherland Security. I've never seen or heard of such a thing and 've done some pretty deep studies of the Germans and Nazis.
If you want respect, you're going to have to do A LOT better than youboob!

Three things.
1.) If Conservatives didn't talk that way, how would you know they were Conservatives. You;d just think they were people with strong opinions
2.) The "Homeland Security" = "Fatherland Security" pun is incredibly stupid.
3.) Just because the translation of a German phrase is somewhat similar to an American English phrase doesn't mean the concepts are at all related.

properly you had to comprehend that throughout basic terms one million/3 of the cons who replied does no longer in basic terms use your question as a platform to do purely that. it extremely is what i think of the priority is - Ever considered the action picture "Pleasantville"? somebody constantly needs to comprehend what's exterior Pleasantville. for this reason, being a conservative is like being at war with fact 24 hours an afternoon. while human beings ask questions, they pound their solutions out like the Gopher Bash sport at a county honest... purely attempting to deflect all of the little issues that save stoning up of their "pleasantville".

Yea I've been wondering that too and I see happening now too. It seems they want kick everyone out of the country. I don't know what they are afraid of. They are only part of this country. It takes at least two parties to have a democracy.
I sometimes get angry and give it right back to them.
I am politically agnostic so I vote for who I believe is the best. I am always amazed how militant the Republicans and the Democrats are toward each. If this countinues to on and on maybe there will be another civil war.

Why do democrats insist on concepts like gun control, which was actually a Nazi policy? They also want to have a more government control of schools, taxes, and so on, just like Nazis.... See, it's actually not the Republicans who are more like Nazis, but the Democrats, and that is why some of us get upset when we are referred to as Nazis. Another Democratic Proposition in California was to illegalize the breading of certain species of dogs because they were dangerous.... Sounds like what Hitler tried with the Jews. So, I do apologize for other Republicans using insulting language, and I hope this answers why we are not Nazis.
