I wanted to get some gigs singing at actual weddings, not just for friends, but on a regular basis for extra money. There aren't auditions or anything like that that I know of. Anyone have ideas on how to get my name out there?

start out by singing at friends weddings, see if you're well accepted. if you are make up some cards/flyers and drop them off at anyplace where pre-weds are bound to go, i.e. bridal stores, tux shops, bakeries.
the couple always asks you to audition, then if they like you they'll call you and you'll have a gig.
and if you're really good there, the rock will start rolling, and word of mouth will spread!!

My wedding is this year in India. can you please come and sing for me? I can pay for you to come and go back. I would love for someone to sing for me in an indian christian wedding. I would be wearing a saree so you can imagine!!
