You don't have to dry out your skin to deal with acne. If the acne is just 'monthly' then it's caused by hormones not by oily skin. If you're concerned see your doctor, but there are products by Clean & Clear that fight acne and moisturize at the same time. I've seen commercials for other brands too.

The best thing to do is use a product line that is made to work together. I love the TimeWise line from Mary Kay! The line includes cleanser, moisturizer, day and night solution, and a variety of other supplemental products. A lot of people think that to deal with acne, you must dry out the skin but drying out the skin actually causes the skin to produce more oil which leads to more acne! The best thing is to add an oil free moisturizer such as the Oil-Free Hydrating Gel from Mary Kay. This will help keep your skin soft and will help prevent your skin from over producing oil.

Here we give you some tips to prevent and control the eruptions.

· Do not pluck or prick at the lesion. This will cause the lesion to be inflamed and spreads the bacteria or oil. It is the main reason that causes acne scars.

· Since acne is caused by the building up of oil as well as blocking of pores, you need to prevent this from happening. Wash your face two times daily with a mild soap and pat your face dry. Skip oily products and irritants like airborne grease found at fast food joints and friction like pressurizing your face with sports equipments.

· Wash your face with a mild soap before going to sleep. This is especially important if you have applied make-up.

I use a face wash that seems to dry out my skin, but after I'm done washing my face I use a moisturiser on my face so it doesn't itch from the dryness. It seems to work pretty good and it get rid of acne. I like the feeling of moist better though.

use like a skin toner; then a liqiud acne cleanser ( clearasal ultra, works great) then put like daily FACE moisterizer on; make sure its face instead of body because it wont make your face so oily and such (my doctor told me that)

use a moisturizer! Dry skin feels terrible. Moisturizer makes your skin feel refreshed, and sensational.
