Brits just love to travel to adventurous and dangerous places and still believe it's as safe as the UK when they get there.

We live in a safe and protected environment in the UK. There are even safety warnings that state the obvious, for example a cup of coffee will say "caution contents are hot", or the Underground "mind the gap" etc.

We depend so much on these safety warnings that we fail to see the dangers unless it's spelled out to us.

What a stupid statement................What evidence is there to suggest that any more Brits get injured/killed abroad than other nations who travel the same amount as Brits do?

There is nothing mysterious about it. These are tragic accidents, which can and do happen in the UK everyday. (exception elephant trampling)
