Good point.

I tried to catch an owl for much the same reason, but it didn't work out either. And I had to get stitches.

Because dolphins know that if they do the work for you , you profit nothing from the excercise. They really do look out for your best interest..
Sometimes it's called "dolphin tough love."

Oh, that's cruel.
Let it out the bath so it can go to the library and do some research.
You wouldn't learn much if you were stranded in a bath.
