How to put a stop to father always paying for his 16 year old daughters boyfriend on all outtings?

The teens do not have a job. Movies, dinner and even snacks whenever the two kids are together

I see why you'd be worried. Tell him that you understand that he's trying to be friendly, but he's fostering the idea of the boyfriend accepting handouts. If your daughter is at all in a serious relationship with the boy, you most likely want him to understand the value of working for what he needs or wants. Explain to your husband that he does NOT owe these kids anything, and they are at an age where it's become very commonplace to have jobs. Even if your daughter won't get a job right now, it's probably a bad sign if her boyfriend has no interest in working. Not that she should ever expect a male to always pay for things, but I know from experience that boys who refuse to work as teenagers usually continue that bad habit as long as someone will pick up the slack for them. Tell your husband it will teach your daughter and her boyfriend both responsibility and prepare them for the real world if they pay for their own things. Another question you might ask is this: Is he unknowingly trying to play the father role to her boyfriend? If you don't have any sons, it is highly likely that he looks at her boyfriend as a son figure and feels the urge to be fatherly and buy him what he wants. Regardless, this is negative behavior and you should definitely discuss it with him.

All you can do is ask him not to do it. Explain to him that you think the boyfriend needs to be more responsible. Other than that there isn't anything you can do about it.

well start making him earn it, get him to do yard work etc, or just warn them you are goin to stop on a specified day and stick to your word
