I have a Haier refrigerator the freezer will not get cold. The coil gets cold alittle way then no more. Any help????

the freezer is not getting cold neither is the frig. I looked in the freezer where the fan is and the line coming in is getting cold only a little way,then nothing.It is 1 year old.

Pop the plastic grill off of the bottom front.
Shine a flashlight underneath and see how dusty it is. The condenser coil may be clogged and causing high discharge and suction pressures, which can cause poor cooling.
Also see if the condenser fan is running. You would have the same symptoms - the compressor would overheat but may intermittently run.

Most likely it has got a freon leak somewhere and needs to be fixed or the expansion vavle has gone bad if it has one ..most all new units use a different type of metering vavle called a orfice..you will ned to have a tech look at it ..

It is out of freon and I would guess a leak it will have to be checked by a repairman

Plugged expansion valve (Cap tube type), low on refrigerant.
