When I try to plug it on my ASUS A7V400 motherboard, my monitor will not show up.....it will not power ON.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

Is it something to do with the make of my monitor?
I mean i have an old LG color monitor....would it make any difference?
Also this is a plug n play device n i guess i dont have to power on or connect anything else rather than plugging the graphics card.

5200 series have 2 outputs make sure u have it connected in the correct out put ie out put 1.

Make sure that the card is enabled in the bios and that the onboard card has been disabled

I think the keyword is "power on"..is your monitor plugged in?
