Doordarshan have the right only to telecast matches involving India and also the semi finals and finals. Sony SET Max will telecast all the matches of the world cup as they are the officially licensed broadcasters for world cup matches in India, Pakistan etc.

DD is a free channel and world cup is shown on paid channels only. And those channels showing it free to their nation can not send the live pictures of the match on satellite.

Because dd sports does not sponser non Indian matches and it does not want to show third class matches.

We cannot have cricket on our sports channels, as
1. It is such a boring sport, and
2. There is so many breaks, and stops it would be pointless.
Look up, GAA sports on google. They are proper sports!

because thats a free channel and matches are only availabe on pay channels but for only world cup u go to your any friend who has bought the set top box that makes all pay channels also availble.

Hey during the league matches i used http://www.action8cricket.com they were awesome specially there support i mailed them 3
times and got answers within 30 mins intially there picture quality was pathetic but now what i saw in last 5 games was.
truely appreciatable hope they continue the good work hats off to the quality and support.
