A better question would be, why the hell do they keep voting for Dems? Wouldn't you say to yourself, "damn, I think we need a change!"

Democrats try to convince people that all they need is more funding to make their programs work, and that the "evil greedy" Republicans are the only thing standing in the way of this increase in funding.

I read the article about DC's population, but not sure where you are getting the 90% number.

Anyway if want to manipulate statistics, it is pretty rare that illiterate/disenfranchised vote anyway. DC is a strange enigma. Is it a coincidence that Missippi is a Red State and has the lowest literacy in the Union?

I have a suggestion for all of you; if your Black, Hispanic, Women (in general, color is not the exception), College students, and other minorities. And have voted for Republican Party in the past century’s election. Considered yourself as a bunch of idiots (specially for the past 2 elections). The Republican Party has and will always be considered a White male anglo America. So do yourself a favor and kick yourself hard in the a**. Nothing has change from the past they are the same greedy, slave owners, low paid fu**s and that will never change. So please STOP killING yourself!
WHAT FACTS, GO AND ASK YOUR BOSS FOR A RAISE? HAHAHA BASTARDS

Ouch. Hate to say it Sean, but Donie just gave you a smackdown. And after 12 years of GOP control in Congress, and 6 years of Bush's "No Child Left Behind", I'm damn sure they were ready for a change.

Actually, it's 77% Democratic registration.

Mississippi has the highest illiteracy rate in the country, and also has a majority of Republican voters.

So what does this tell us? Nothing.

and how many Educated Republicans are serving in Iraq?

must have been all those stupid Democrats that elected the only US president with Down Syndrome.

if one third (33.3%) of DC's populations is illiterate, and yet 90 % are democrats, then obviously 60% are literate.

also it appears that public school education is more Educational. that little preppy private school that your wealthy Republican parents sent you to, failed you.
