Axl Rose is such a jerk that no one will play with him... Eddie Van Halen crawled inside a bottle and has stayed there since 1986. Two of the best American bands ever and they just wasted the last 15 years...

Guns and Roses split up and that sucks... but at least their music holds up... Van Halen seems so long ago and almost cartoonish if you compare their music to GNR. Eddie's playing was all about tricks and pings... not even rooted in structure or the blues... I have to say the demise of VH is more pathetic... except for the whole "Chinese Democracy" joke...

Axl Rose is more pathetic. At least members of Van Halen still stand by Eddie. EVERYONE left Axl, and everyone one of them are in the same band now. Hilarious. He's a joke.

Van Halen is definitely more pathetic. Everyone talks about Eddie's talent but what has VH actually produced? Other than mind blowing classics like Jump and Panama, that is.
At least G & R has something to show for themselves.

Axl Rose is more pathetic... Eddie may be hiding away in a bottle, but he's not getting corn-rows and face lifts! I think it would actually be LESS pathetic of axl to hide away for a few years... let us miss him. Maybe then we'll appreciate him more.
