I cant find the right information, could some one please give me some good sites to get this information from. (im not allowed to use wikipedia)

maybe u could get some info at http://www.rollingstone.com..as they are considered one of the leading music publications, i`ll bet u could find something there...but wow!!! only 8-10 pages??? i think u are going to have to narrow down the focus of your paper to maybe spotlight one specific genre of rock, or one specific time period in rock music history, because how are u gonna tell the whole history of rock in such a short paper??? well, good luck!!!

go to the library and get some books, I once did a 15 page research paper on Leo Fender and how his guitar changed music. There is a ton of good info in books

I'd start by putting history of Rock n' Roll into Google. Also try putting in the Beatles or Elvis Presley, they are generally considered the beginnings of Rock n' Roll.

Go To pluggedinonline.com and search for "Metal roots reach deep" if you include anything about metal in your paper they have lots of stuff and history all the way back to metal's beginnings. Metal is part of rock so if you want a good grade at least put something in there about it.
