I am 5'2" and originally a size 1 and 94 pounds (united states)
I have plenty of room to deliver a child.
When she has her PAP smear they will be able to determine if she has enough room to accomodate a vaginal delivery

You can't tell that way!
I'm sure she'll have it naturally! Tell her not to stress out over such petty things, she'll get too worked up and this is not good during pregnancy.
She wont know until when the baby is ready to come. She should hope for a vaginal delivery, it's so much better on both her and baby. If the time comes that she needs a c-section, she should be happy and relaxed and just be glad that her baby can be brought into this world safely and healthy.
Good luck with this! Tell her not to worry so much over the small stuff. That sort of thing is out of her control. She may deliver naturally, maybe not. Tell her to focus on a healthy pregnancy. That's the biggest thing right now.

Yea my friend is the same height and size as your friend. She just gave birth 4 weeks ago to what they said was gonna be a big baby for her about 8lb she had a water birth, and a suprise when out he popped at a hefty 10lb 7oz she never 1 stich, tear or anything, just a huge whopper of a baby with placenta to match. I'm sure she'll be fine.

Size has nothing to do with it, I am 4'11 and weigh 103 lbs, I had to have an emergency c-section because my bones were too small for her to fit through. My aunt is a BIG girl and she had to have a c-section with her third, there is really no way to tell until the time comes.

I'm only 5'2" and small frame but I've easily birthed three children vaginally (including one 7lb 6oz baby with her hand by her head, I didn't even tear).
To faciliate birth, she should give birth in whatever position she naturally gravitates towards. Lying on the back is usually the worst position in which to push as it decreases the pelvic outlet. IME, pushing is SO much easier when you're upright.

My sister just gave birth to twins august 15th of 2006...shes also 5'1....being small doesnt necessarily mean csection....not at all...my bestfriend is a lil tiny oriental gal shes apx 5 feet tall and maybe 80 pounds...she had her son vaginally just fine in fact with alot less problems than i had any of mine....and just so you are convinced it can be done my mother gave birth to my sister vaginally 38 years ago...my sister was 13 pounds at birth...LOL....so i would have to say no it doesnt automatically mean csection....

i have the same stats as your friend and i gave birth naturally with no problems at all, although i was booked in for a c-section but that was because she was breech, but turned herself into right position at last minute.check with your doctor/nurse if u have any worries.

Its to early to worry about that. I'm 5'2 and I had to have a cicerone cause she couldn't come out. It depends cause my friend is 5 feet and she had it naturally. Tell her not to worry so much.

well little people (those under 4 feet tall )deliver vaginally. she should be fine. being short doesnt mean you will need a c- section it all depends on her bones , her hips and pelvis she needs to talk to her ob about this they will do all the needed tests
