Now that Jon Papelbon has returned to the closers role, the Boston Red Sox have to be one of the favorites.
The team has a very deep pitching rotation that only gets deeper when Jon Lester is ready to go. The offense is one of the most potent in all of baseball. Terry Francona is a great player's manager who is respected by the entire team.
The one shaky element might be the bullpen, but I think that many of the members of that pen will step it up once the season starts.
So for me, the Red Sox are the odds-on favorite right now.
