First unplug all electrical and other connections from the key board. Take it well away from the PC.
Use cotton buds or similar dipped in Methylated Spirit to clean the surfaces. It does not matter if this spills onto the keys or gets into the circuitry as it very soon evaporates. Then never eat or drink near your PC. In some companies using such equipment it is considered gross misconduct to do so and an employee can be instantly dismissed for flouting the rules.

Use tissue, if not fine enough, can use cotton wool or cotton bud.
Prevention is the key... open your tins elsewhere? Like over the sink?
