One # inside Guitar is 5-51-Y........... The other # is 149H928 Please tell me what was the year of Manufacture for this particular Standard Silvertone Guitar???????

I had a silvertone amp in case that I looked up on Ebay, google, & several guitar message boards using the model number to find out the year turned out it was a 63 & everything still worked...till it got killed in Hurricane Allison. Try that. For that electric guy if its a tabacco sunburst thin body with lipstick tub pick-ups you've most likely got a 60's model, for the acoustic guy, its hard to say because I think Sears commissioned Dan-Electro guitars to make silver tone back in the 40's.

Good question. I have an old Silvertone Electric myself, and am anxious to find out. Hope someone out there knows and shares.
