It depends which state you live in, each state has it's own laws.
There is no husband or wife, it is jus a union of two people who love eachother.

Talk about ignorance!! There is no husband and wife. When two men marry, they marry as two men. Two women marry as two women.
Gay and lesbian couples used to imitate heterosexual couples because of acceptance issues. Now they are more free to be themselves. They are not marrying a same sex person in order to get an opposite sex imitator.
