Why can't all these different agencies be placed under the command of the U.S. Marshal Services? Is having all these different agencies a matter or redundancy?
Couldn't we have U.S. Marshals, drug enforcement or investigative division, firearms and explosives division? Wouldn't the combining under one agency be a savings for taxpayers and easier for Congress to control?

Combining services is a great idea. Too bad Congress never has a great idea.
We have too many Chiefs and Department heads. The money they are paid could put a lot more people in the field were it would be better spent.
The Department of Homeland Security could of been centered with the U.S. Marshals Services too.
I need to comment. That there seems to be a lot of people lacking reading comprehension or are just plain STUPID.

Good idea, but Congress likes to spend our money on wasteful and redundant programs. Also none of the agency leaders would want to surrender their fiefdom.
Did you know that the US. Marshal is the only constitutionally authorized federal law enforcement agency?

Before answering this question, I must have you swear that you do not, nor have every worked for the US Marshal Service.
Does sound like your feathering your own nest here.

No. They each have a specific and different work load. Combining them would be like combining all branches of government together. You would lose all regulation.
